An interesting match that ended with a CFL-like score. The champs scored 5 in the 1st, the Jo Waites team 4 in the 3rd and the pattern was established. Jeanne Christie's crew counted 5 in the 7th to jump ahead 15-6 and you found yourself thinking game over. Wait!, a converted touchdown (7) by Waites/Kelly/Boston made the score 15-13 the very next end. Outwardly unfazed Christie/Wright/Kruss perhaps decided the final outcome by immediately adding 2 in the 9th end and took little steps to a 20-13 lead at the end of 12 ends. They could clinch with most any score but the no surrender girls scored 3 in the 13th and it was game on until the end.

Those ' pesky wabbits' from District 1 continued to raise eyebrows with their fine bowling,
The Don Thornton skipped team moved into a 8-2 lead after 6 ends. Back came the 2006 Canadian Senior Champs with a pair of 2's to bring the score to 6-8 after 8 ends. This was going to be a battle to the end it seemed until the 11th end. Thornton/Duransky/Angelini were lying 5 in the head when skip Branston stepped to the mat. A trail to the edge of the ditch and two draws put District 6 ahead for the first time at 10-9. That was the turning point followed by some skillful draws by Branston to keep the upstarts at bay.
