Two talented young bowlers captured their respective Ontario titles to-day in Peterborough.
There event is now called the Ontario Qualifier for the 2009 World Junior Cup Selection. It is quite a handle but does reflect the specific purpose of this event. It still has an under 25 age qualification, the former name, and is the start of gathering this age group to come to-gether from around the world.
Kelly and Trevor will now travel to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in early August to compete against other young Canadian Provincial winners. If my research is accurate, they are looking to book their flight to Warilla, Australia in April 2010 for the World event.
Competitive lawn bowling mixed with a twist of life. A skilled exciting game hidden from the masses by its image. Often only takes one roll-up to leave you wondering why you waited.
My Ponder List
- "Now is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end.But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning." Winston Churchill
