SUNDAY JULY 17
FOUR!
DRAWS UP!
Bright and early. Festivities underway at 8:30 AM to kick off a busy week of high level competition. Opening remarks, a charitable activity and we play and play until we pack our bowls bags and head home Friday for a rest.I hope you are a part of it because it is 'one of a kind' across our continent.
And there is still a chance in selected events if you are so inclined to test your abilities against the top bowlers in Ontario and beyond.
There are 57 Singles players ready to roll till they drop and the perfect draw would be an additional 7 entries at Woodstock. There is no better value for your entry fee than testing your alone game against 5 qualifiers for the Ontario Singles Championships and another 7 team members heading to the Nationals. What a field, as it is all week in all events.
Of course the beauty of the Flight format is that each loss drops you to a lower Flight that eventually pools the various levels of ability.
Also looking for 6 teams to have a full draw for the Mixed Pairs on Friday July 22nd. The dessert for the 6 days of bowls celebration.
In Singles you are your own team but if interested in playing on a team, contact Noreen Welsh since extra parts are often required on short notice. Speaking of Singles we are always in need of markers for this event. Many games with a need to keep on schedule is facilitated by volunteers willing to set the jacks. Whatever time you could offer would be of assistance.
Included with your involvement in THE W.O.B.A. 116TH TOURNAMENT is partaking in a feast prepared by Chef Brian and staff on Opening Day. Sunday, after play is completed, you are an invited guest to fine dining a la knee. It will be served approximately at 5:30 PM.
